Guests will be met at the Florence airport (or other arrival point upon request) for a private transfer to their accommodation in the historical center of Florence. In the early evening, after having time to relax and settle in, guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail before being walked to a restaurant where dinner reservations will have been made.
Guests will be then be free to spend their first evening in Florence at leisure.
In the morning, a private tour guide will meet guests at their accommodation for a guided tour of Florence city. History will come to life as guests visit Il Duomo – Florence’s stunning Cathedral, with its Bell Tower, Baptistery and Brunelleschi’s Dome. Next will be the Governmental Center, including the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Guests will enjoy pre-reserved entry to the Accademia Museum, home to 6 unfinished statues attributed to the great Michelangelo along with his great masterpiece, the David. Next comes another of Italy’s greatest treasures: its cuisine. Guests will be led through the San Lorenzo Food Market for private exclusive product tastings to comprise a unique and delicious lunch. In the afternoon, the tour of Florence will continue with a focus on Florence’s famous artisans, with a visit to a stone-inlay workshop and historic leather factory before seeing the marble creations on the stunning Santa Croce Basilica. A perfume experience is also available upon request. Guests will then have the evening free to enjoy dinner, with reservations being made for the group in downtown Florence for another lovely evening in the city.
In accordance with guests’ preferences, a private tour guide will lead the group to some of the best stores in Florence. The vast range of options includes historic artisan workshops where items have been handcrafted for centuries, small boutiques creating unique leather bags and gloves, designer clothing in one of Italy’s top fashion capitals, resplendent jewelry and bijoux, antique dealers peddling historic items, and more. Along the way, guests may pass the church of Santo Spirito, Palazzo Pitti and the magnificent palaces lining the noble streets. The tour will conclude in time for guests to enjoy lunch on their own before having free time for further shopping or other activities. Dinner reservations will be made at a traditional restaurant just a short and pleasant stroll from the hotel for guests to dine on their own before retiring for the night.
After checking out of their hotel, guests will meet a private tour guide for a visit to the Uffizi Gallery and an exploration of the amazing collection of Renaissance master paintings. In the meanwhile, a private driver will collect the guests’ luggage and await the group so that, following the guided Uffizi visit, they may travel to a special countryside venue in the outskirts of Florence for lunch at a farmhouse and winery.
After a tour of the cellar and traditional meal, guests will be taken to a countryside hotel where they will have free time to enjoy the evening and dine at their own leisure in the stunning hamlet of San Quirico d’Orcia.
A private driver will await guests in the morning for an exploration of the area around Montalcino. A visit to the Romanesque Abbazia di Sant’Antimo will be included, along with a visit to a Brunello winery for a wine tasting of the King of Tuscan reds. Guests will be free to enjoy lunch in Montalcino before being collected in the early afternoon for a return transfer to the hotel. There will be time for a siesta and to enjoy the extensive grounds, perhaps even availing of the spa services at the hotel.
A private driver will then collect the group to head to a special venue. Here, you will savor an exclusive, private dinner where guests may renew their vows in the company of friends. At the end of this unforgettable evening, everyone will be accompanied back to the accommodation for an overnight stay in San Quirico D’Orcia.
This day will feature a private driver to accompany guests on a full-day exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage area of Val d’Orcia.
The first stop will be a visit to Montepulciano to explore an exclusive winery and delight in a tasting of their top Vino Nobile di Montepulciano wine. Guests will then savor a traditional lunch al fresco at a quaint farmhouse. The afternoon will include a stop in the ‘Ideal Renaissance City’ of Pienza, with its stately palaces and architecture that embraces the picturesque landscape in the surrounds.
After returning to the hotel in the late afternoon, guests will be free to enjoy dinner on their own before the final overnight stay in San Quirico D’Orcia.
